Product Overview

Vehicle Armor Polyurea Protective Coating (Model T-5028) is a premium, cutting-edge, 100% solid, solvent-free, and pollution-free green environmental sprayable high-strength elastic coating. Engineered specifically to meet the extreme survivability, defense, and structural integrity requirements of modern military armored vehicles, combat transport, and specialized heavy-duty vehicles, this advanced polyurea elastomer creates an impenetrable, monolithic armor barrier.

Designed for application on critical components such as vehicle body panels, bottom decks, blast plates, and fuel tanks, it integrates the high-elasticity merits of premium rubber with the robust protective sealing of high-performance coatings. Its rapid curing profile guarantees zero sagging on vertical or complex overhead structures, ensuring uniform thickness and unmatched multi-threat mitigation.

Key Features & Technical Advantages

  • Instant High-Speed Curing: Gels within 20 seconds and achieves tack-free status instantly. Continuous spray application on vertical facades or overhead structures results in zero sagging, dripping, or run-off.
  • Multi-Threat Protection: Combines heavy-duty wearproof, bulletproof, blast-mitigation, and absolute chemical corrosion resistance into a single application layer.
  • Exceptional Mechanical Strength: Features ultra-high tensile strength (>12Mpa) paired with supreme elongation capabilities (>350%), allowing the coating to flex and absorb kinetic energy without rupture.
  • Superior Adhesion Profile: Delivers flawless, high-strength permanent chemical bonding (>6Mpa to steel) on both metallic and non-metallic composite baseboards.
  • 100% Solid & Eco-Friendly: Zero Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), zero solvent pollution, and completely eco-safe during formulation and application.
  • Ballistic & Fuel Leak Mitigation: Dramatically reduces fuel leakage speeds after projectile penetration, suppressing catastrophic ignition risks and securing a vital safety evacuation window for the vehicle crew.

Primary Fields of Application

While originally formulated for military defense, the extraordinary structural traits of the T-5028 Polyurea Protective Coating open up a wide range of heavy industrial application avenues:

1. Defense & Military Vehicles

Applied directly to armored personnel carriers (APCs), light tactical vehicles (LTVs), logistics trucks, and main battle tank chassis to defend against mine blasts, shrapnel, and structural abrasion.

2. Fuel Tank Bulletproofing & Seepage Control

Encapsulating fuel reserves and storage cells to ensure instant self-healing tendencies, extreme seepage control, and rapid fuel leak deceleration upon ballistic impact.

3. Commercial Special Purpose Vehicles

Provides impact, scratch, and chemical rust defense for cash-in-transit (CIT) armored vans, law enforcement tactical units, heavy-duty mining dump trucks, and emergency response vehicles.

Application Instructions & Substrate Preparation

CRITICAL OPERATION NOTE: Due to the ultra-fast chemical reaction and instant-cure kinetics of T-5028 Polyurea, this product MUST be applied using professional, high-pressure plural-component impingement mixing spray equipment.

Substrate Preparation (Pre-treatment)

  • Metal Substrates (Steel/Aluminum): Sandblast or grit-blasted to Sa 2.5 standard according to ISO 8501-1 to achieve a clean profile with a surface roughness of 40-75 microns. Apply a compatible polyurea primer within 4 hours.
  • Composite Material Substrates: Degrease and abrade surface mechanically to eliminate gloss. Wipe clean with a solvent agent before direct spray application.

Mixing & Spray Parameters

  • Component B Pre-Blending: Component B must be thoroughly power-agitated / blended for 10 to 15 minutes before application to guarantee fully homogenous color and chemical uniformity.
  • Recommended Machinery: High-pressure plural-component spray units equipped with primary heating units and heated hoses. Approved models include: Gusmer H20/35, GAMAR G-250H, GRACO XP3 / Reactor E-XP2.
  • Optimal Spray Thickness: 2 mm to 6 mm (depending on blast-resistance thresholds).
